National Stuttering Association

2023 Scholarship Information

Thank you to all who applied for scholarship funding during this cycle.
All scholarship funding for 2022 has been awarded and all recipients have been notified.

Attending the NSA’s annual conference is a life changing experience for many people who stutter, their families, and speech-language pathology students. For that reason, we are committed to preventing financial hardship from being a barrier to conference attendance.

Through the generosity of the Liben family and our NSA donor community, we are proud to offer conference scholarships. These scholarships (not exceeding $400) are designed to offset conference hotel and registration costs for those who qualify.

If you are facing financial difficulties that may prevent you from attending the conference, we strongly urge you to apply for a scholarship by completing the 2023 Conference Scholarship application. The deadline to submit is 5PM, May 1, 2023.

Restrictions:

    • Funding is limited; therefore, select scholarships will be awarded based on financial need as determined by our scholarship review committee
    • Priority is given to citizens/permanent residents of the United States. International attendees are welcome to apply, but the NSA will not provide invitation letters/visa documentation, nor assist in any costs related to required quarantine periods.
    • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
    • If you are awarded funding, it will be in the form of hotel and/or conference credits only; no cash or credits for ‘extras’ (i.e., merchandise, activities, food/beverage) will be dispersed.
