Your Support Strengthens the Stuttering Community

Every gift to the National Stuttering Association helps ensure that people who stutter have access to connection, education, advocacy, and support.

Your generosity allows the NSA to serve individuals and families across the United States through local chapters, national programs, research, and community driven resources. Each fund below supports a distinct part of this work, and together they help build a stronger, more inclusive future.

General Fund

The General Fund supports the core work of the National Stuttering Association and allows us to respond to the most pressing needs across the community.

This fund helps the NSA

  • Sustain local chapters and peer support spaces

  • Provide free and accessible educational resources

  • Support national programs and outreach efforts

  • Advocate for greater understanding and acceptance of stuttering

Gifts to the General Fund have broad impact and support the full scope of our mission.

Conference Scholarship Fund

The Conference Scholarship Fund helps ensure that financial barriers do not prevent individuals and families from attending the NSA Annual Conference.

For many people who stutter, the conference is the first place they feel fully understood. Scholarships make it possible for more people to experience this sense of belonging and connection.

This fund helps

  • Reduce financial barriers to conference attendance

  • Support first time attendees and families

  • Expand access to community and peer connection

By funding research projects, the NSA helps ensure that knowledge about stuttering continues to grow and that research reflects lived experience and real world impact.

This fund helps

  • Advance research focused on stuttering

  • Strengthen evidence based understanding

  • Inform education and advocacy efforts

Become a Changemaker

Changemakers are monthly donors who provide steady and reliable support for people who stutter and those who love them.

Monthly giving allows the NSA to plan ahead, sustain programs year round, and respond consistently to the needs of the community. Changemakers play a critical role in strengthening long term impact.

Monthly support helps

  • Keep chapters and programs accessible throughout the year

  • Sustain education and outreach efforts

  • Build long term stability for the stuttering community
