NSA Connects – Parents: Supporting Your Child Going Back to School
August 31 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT
Join our panel of parents, SLP’s, and young adults as they discuss and share ways that parents of children who stutter can support their child returning to school. Topics will include: educating teachers, supporting SLP’s, advocating, IEP considerations, advertising, and transitioning between middle/high schools and college. The session will include varying perspectives with an overall goal to provide support to parents of children that stutter that encourages a positive and meaningful experience in the school settings.
These free sessions allow all participants to learn, inspire, and connect with the larger stuttering community from the safety and comfort of their own home. Each session focuses on a specific theme of interest to those in the community.
