Our Don’t Tell Me to ‘Slow Down’ 5K (3.1 mile) fun runs/walks are a fantastic opportunity to get outside and get moving, all for the benefit of people who stutter and the National Stuttering Association! Whether you’re a veteran runner, racing to get that PR, or just want a fun, easy walk with others in the community, we invite you to join us! Check out our calendar of Upcoming Events to find the race nearest you.
Not in the area where these are being held? You can still join us as a virtual participant! Simply select ‘Virtual Runner’ when you register, then complete the race on your own time, in your own area.
Why We Run
All proceeds from these events go towards our NSA Scholarship Fund, helping individuals and families with financial difficulties to attend our Annual Conference and other events. In addition, regional events such as these go a long way in showing kids, teens, and adults who stutter that they are not alone!
Interested in organizing a 5k?
Interested in organizing a fundraising run/walk for the National Stuttering Association? We can help! Organizing an event like this is a fun, healthy way to get involved with and raise funds for the NSA. These 5K events require dedicated on-the-ground support several months in advance of the race itself, so we seek to host these events in conjunction with a strong local NSA chapter or committed individuals whenever possible. Check out some of our past and future fundraiser race events and then contact our Race Coordinator, Annemarie, today at AnnemarieW@WeStutter.org for more information on how to get started!
