National Stuttering Association

Purple and turquoise starburst with the letters NSA in the middle.
Lindsay Lowy

Lindsay Lowy is a person who stutters and attended her first NSA chapter meeting back in 2015. Thanks to the kindness and support from those chapter members, Lindsay ended up attending her first conference that same year, in Baltimore, Maryland and has attended every conference since then.

Because of the NSA, Lindsay has not only gained confidence and acceptance of the way I talk, but has also met some of her best friends. Lindsay currently works as a speech-language pathologist in the public schools, where she carries on the positive messages from the NSA to students and co-workers. It took getting involved with the NSA to learn that it was actually OKAY to stutter, and she plans to pass along that message to as many people as possible. In Lindsay’s free time she like to do jigsaw puzzles, obstacle course races, go to the beach, hike, and do yoga.
