Terrence (Terry) Murgallis II is a person who stutters and is passionate about educating, spreading awareness, and providing support for people who stutter. Professionally, Terry is a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Cecil County Public Schools in northern Maryland. He earned his Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Misericordia University in 2016. In addition to providing services to students, Terry also serves as the Lead Speech Pathologist for his school district, an assistive technology specialist, and a stuttering resource for his colleagues. He has previously served as a clinical fellow mentor. Terry has presented on stuttering at the state, national, and international levels and co-founded the National Stuttering Association chapter in his home-town area of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Here he established a sense of community, organized events for the chapter (including the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Annual Don’t Tell Me To ‘Slow Down’ 5k Walk/Run) and held bi-monthly support group meetings. He has also attended multiple NSA conferences beginning in Scottsdale 2013 and has found strength and lifelong friends among the attendees.

In 2022, Terry was awarded the Distinguished Early Career Professional Certificate from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the professional, scientific, and credentialing organization for speech language pathologists, in recognition of the significant impact he has made in his profession and his community.

In his free time, Terry loves taking walks with his gentle giant Golden Retriever (Bob) and his fun-loving Goldendoodle puppy (Indie), watching his favorite T.V. shows, volunteering with the Special Olympics, and enjoying newlywed bliss with his beautiful wife, Ilianna.
