NSA Connects w/ DEI: Embracing Our Differences

Join the NSA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee for a discussion on navigating the path to inclusion and overcoming our own biases.
 
As people who stutter, we can sometimes make decisions and assumptions about others based on our own personal bias, hyper focusing on a particular aspect of our environment and not letting up on our preconceived notions. In this session the DEI committee will talk about our own biases, what kinds of biases there are, and how we can overcome them.
 
It takes personal development and individual growth to overcome our own bias and expand beyond our comfort zone. This discussion will highlight these aspects and help break down walls we may put in front of ourselves as people who stutter.
