NSA Connects for Parents Who Stutter: They Hear Our Voices

August 18 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EDT

Image with a gradient background showing two adults and a child from behind, holding hands. Text reads "connects: Parents Who Stutter: They Hear Our Voices" with circular photos of Dana Koprowski and Bob Wellington beneath.

When parents who stutter communicate with their children, they often face a range of emotions, including fear, anxiety, and pressure to speak fluently. In this thought-provoking session, we’ll explore how our children perceive our speech—are they focused on the “how” of what we say or the “what” itself?

Join us for an insightful discussion, led by Dana Koprowski and Bob Wellington on the impact of discussing stuttering with our children. We’ll delve into the benefits of open communication, the potential drawbacks of hiding our stuttering, and whether a formal conversation about our speech is necessary or if it can simply be part of our everyday experience.
