Jonathan Lazenby is from Raleigh, NC, and a three-time alumnus from Campbell University from which he received an undergraduate degree, Masters Degree in Divinity and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Jonathan is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and after graduation worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselor. During his time as a VR counselor he connected with the NSA through the Fayetteville Chapter from which Jonathan began attending NSA conferences. He became a Co-Chapter Leader with the Fayetteville NC Chapter.
Jonathan likes to sing solos and in large choirs to which he has traveled to the National Cathedral in Washington, DC and Italy with the Campbell University Choir. He has struggled with stuttering his entire life , but when he sings and when he helps others who stutter, he is free from the stigma and shares an intimate connection with those who understand what it’s like to live with stuttering.
